Phoenix Suns head coach Alvin Gentry quickly quashed the rumors that two-time MVP and the soul of the team, Steve Nash, is on the trading block. The rumors started to gain headway in recent weeks when Nash expressed his disappointment with all the personnel changes during the past few years and the direction the Suns are heading. Gentry said there is no way the Suns are trading their best player and it will never happen, according to the Arizona Republic. The Suns are currently sporting a 3-4 win-loss mark in the new NBA season.
“Steve's not going to be traded, that I can tell you. If he's getting traded, I'm going along with him, OK? Have you looked at the way he's playing? He's playing at a real high level. Why would we trade him? I don't understand that. That's nothing that's been discussed here.
“It's not going to happen. Or at least all those guys out there on the coaching staff are going to make sure that it doesn't happen and I don't think Lon (Babby) and Lance (Blanks) are going to let it happen. So who the hell is going to trade him? Not Robert (Sarver), I know that.”
Steve Nash is the cream of the CROP for Phoenix Suns. He may consider leaving the NBA if his political career plans follow through in CANADA at his hometown. Just like Manny Pacman the icon of the Philippines is ow congressman. What more with Steve Nash a ROLE MODEL for many. GO NASH make the PHOENIX fans proud! And lead your team to western title inthe NBA!
