Host country Team Turkey’s win-loss record in the ongoing FIBA World Championships remains unscathed after six games and believe or not, a song maybe behind their early success. The partisan crowd continue to serenade the Nationals in their games through the tune of the “12 Giant Men”, the theme song of Team Turkey. The Turkish players admitted that they are truly inspired by the singing of the crowd and point guard Sinan Guler said that he got the shivers listening to it, according to ESPN True Hoop. Turkey is fresh from a 95-77 win over France in the first round of the knockout phase.

“I got the shivers. Any time I hear the songs that they start singing I get excited, and I'm definitely one of the players that feed off that energy, and I know our team feeds off and plays a lot better with that energy that the fans give us. And 15,000 people put on a show for us, so we put on a show (win over France) for them today.”
