The Memphis Grizzlies has just made Lionel Hollins look like a winning coach. That is after winning eight of the last ten games without guard O.J. Mayo, who was suspended for ten games without pay for testing positive on a banned substance. Now Mayo is back and that puts Hollins in quandary. Hollins is winning with his present rotation and inserting Mayo at this time may disrupt the team chemistry. Mayo knows that the pressure is with Hollins and says he will respect whatever the coach decision would be, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
“It doesn't put coach in a bad situation, but it does. I'm pretty sure he wants to see if I can come in and make shots, and help the team even more. But at the same time they're definitely playing real well without me. That's why he gets paid to coach.”
