The new owners of the Golden State Warriors are taking their business very seriously as they try to bring it to the next level, which has never been seen before in a struggling NBA franchise. Just like any other big business, the Warriors are set to introduce innovations such as handing out incentives to enhance their relationship with the consumers. It is actually a win-win proposition between the franchise and the season-ticket holders. The plan will take effect starting the 2011-12 season wherein the Warriors are committed to win at least 25 home games, to have a player selected to the 2012 All-Star game, and to make it to the 2012 playoffs and if they don’t, the fans would be rewarded financially plus other perks, according to the San Francisco Business Times.
“With the potential of a NBA lockout and the team struggling on the court, the Golden State Warriors’ new owners are adding incentives for fans to buy season tickets for next season.
“The club promises it will reach the 2012 playoffs, have a player go to the 2012 All-Star Game and win 25 games or more at home — or fans get rewarded with money or other perks.”
