After nine years as an NBA player, Troy Murphy is feeling like a rookie all over again as he plays with renewed vigor and excitement with the Boston Celtics. That is because for the very first time in his career and barring no untoward incident happens between today and the last playing day of the regular season in April, he will finally make his playoffs debut. Murphy, who has yet to score a field goal in three games with Boston, says he is already very excited in the prospect of tasting a deep post-season run with the Beantown outfit, according to the Boston Herald.
“Very much so. I’ve never been in the playoffs, and I’m excited to take part in all that. That’s why I wanted to come to the Celtics, because of the postseason. That was the whole idea, to come to a team that was trying to make a long playoff run.”
