THE HEAT IS ON (AGAIN)

After taking so much flaks for losing five straight games, the Miami Heat finally broke loose with back-to-back big wins at home. The South Beach outfit snapped their losing skein against their west arch-rival, the Los Angeles Lakers, which is coming off from an eight-game winning streak. Erik Spoelstra and his celebrated boys displayed incredible poise and an inspired grit all game long in shellacking Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. The Heat continued their winning ways in the next game as they totally dominated the Memphis Grizzlies by running away with a 33-point massacre. Their impressive win over the Lakers, which is their second over the defending champs and a sweep of their regular season series, can be attributed to three major factors:

1. The celebrated trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh showed tremendous heart as a combo throughout the ballgame and executed to perfection the game plan of coach Erik Spoelstra.

2. The Heat displayed great team defense especially on Kobe Bryant, who was forced to take plenty of ill-advised shots.

3. Miami finally cured their end-game woes as they hang on and outhustled the Lakers in the clutch.
