At first, it is truly hard to fathom what is on the mind of Scottie Pippen when he said recently that Miami Heat star LeBron James is the greatest basketball player in the planet and even better than his Chicago Bulls days buddy, Michael Jordan. LeBron greater than His Airness? For sure, Pippen has a valid reason for calling such. Being Jordan’ chief lieutenant during the Bulls 6-championship run in the 1991-93 and 1996-98 seasons, respectively, Pippen acknowledged that MJ made him and the rest of the team better players but also gave his observations that James is the most potent offensive player that he had ever saw. Pippen obviously is not talking about the number of championships won between the two players but the individual talent that exist among James and Jordan. Pippen says James can make things happen not only for himself but also to everyone that is involved in the Heat team, according to ESPN.
“Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to play the game. But I may go as far as to say LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game because he is so potent offensively that not only can he score at will but he keeps everybody involved.”
