With two titles under its belt this season, the Talk N Text Tropang Texters are dead serious in their bid to become the fourth team to win the prestigious grand slam in the world’s second oldest pro league, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Chot Reyes’ charges are off to an impressive 2-0 start in the season-ending Governor's Cup, winning by double-digit margins against the Alaska Aces (26 points) and erstwhile unbeaten Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters (12 points). They even fashioned out the win versus Rain Or Shine without their spiritual leader, guard Jimmy Alapag, who was hurt during the Alaska game. Despite the great start, Reyes thinks there are still a lot of work to be done and they have to come out fighting in every game if they want to win the much-coveted triple crown, according to the Manila Bulletin.
“There are lots of things to work on. But the guys are coming out fighting. The only thing we can think about is coming out and get better.”
