This time around, it took just five days to kick Isiah Thomas out of the Apple City. Thomas confirmed that his appointment as New York Knicks consultant violated the NBA bylaws after a meeting with Commissioner David Stern and Knicks executives, according to the New York Times. His recent hiring has created furor not only in Broadway but throughout the basketball world.
“It has become apparent that my new agreement violates certain N.B.A. bylaws. Because of this, I have decided to rescind my contract with the team.”
