SUPERMAN LOVES UNDERDOG TAG

(NBA Photo).
Even after reaching the NBA finals two seasons ago, the Orlando Magic has not gained the rightful respect it deserves in the hoop circles. The Magic has gate-crashed the 50-win mark for the fourth straight season but still, the Disneyworld outfit is not given a serious-look by pundits going into the post-season play. They play second-fiddle to the Miami Heat in terms of popularity in the Sunshine State. They are used to being called the underdogs and Magic franchise player Dwight “Superman” Howard honestly feels fine about it and in fact he loves the tag, according to Hoopsworld.

“We're always under the radar. Nobody's ever talked about the Magic in any kind of way besides that we're not a good team. So that's all that we hear.

“But I like it. I like being the underdog, I like people not talking about us because, on one end, it keeps everybody on their heels and makes us really have to work to prove ourselves. If we were always being talked about and always in the limelight, some guys get complacent and we've got to stay humble if we want to be successful.”
