Many did not take seriously the statement of New Orleans Hornets top point guard Chris Paul that teams should be scared of them once the post-season play begins. Well, the man called CP3 is right on target after his seventh-seeded Hornets squad pulled an upset road win over the two-time NBA defending champions, the Los Angeles Lakers, 109-100 in game one of their Western Conference first round playoff series. Paul scored 33 big points and handed out 14 assists to silence the big crowd at the Staples Center. Paul says the playoffs bring out a renewed energy and the best in him, according to Yahoo! Sports.

“I’ve struggled all season long, trying to figure out where to pick my spots. It’s the playoffs. It’s a whole other energy.”
