KINGS TO REMAIN IN SAC-TOWN?

The dream of the City of Anaheim to have its own NBA franchise may end up just the same, only a dream. That is all because a new development has transpired to keep the Kings in Sacramento. Sac-Town Mayor Kevin Johnson, a former NBA player himself, and billionaire Ron Burkle are moving heaven and earth in an all-out effort to retain the Kings. The Burkle Group is said to be very interested in buying the Kings. Burkle Group partner Darius Anderson says they are ready to commit the needed resources to enable the Kings to stay in Sacramento, according to News10.

“The Maloofs have been strong owners and a positive part of the Sacramento community for years, but it is important that Kings fans and residents of the Sacramento region know that the Burkle Group is ready to commit the resources and expertise necessary to keep the NBA in Sacramento. Our group believes Sacramento is an important NBA market that can thrive with new ideas, new resources and an absolute commitment to delivering the best on and off-court experiences for fans.”
