KNICKS REMAIN CONFIDENT DESPITE LOSING SERIES OPENER

New York Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni remains upbeat on their chances in the ongoing playoffs despite dropping an 87-85 heart-breaker of a road loss to the Boston Celtics, a game which many believes they should have won. The Knicks now trail the Celtics, 1-0 in their opening round best-of-seven series. The Knicks controlled the game for almost 47 minutes until Celtics hotshot Ray Allen buried a three-pointer with eleven ticks to go in the game to win it for the defending Eastern Conference champs. Many thinks this series with the Celtics will determine D’Antoni’s future with the Apple City outfit. However, D’Antoni is not getting himself affected by such talks and instead, concentrates on what is on hand and his belief that they can win this series, according to the New York Post.

“I'm going to enjoy this. I hope we have a heckuva series. The other stuff I never really worry about. The time will come we have to do business and we do it. It doesn't enter my mind. I'm happy to coach a team that's in the playoffs and a bunch of guys who really want to win.”
