From the looks of it, there seem no stopping the vendetta mode of LeBron James against the Boston Celtics. James exploded for 35 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 102-91 thrashing of the Celtics. The victory propels the South Beach outfit to a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference second-round playoff series. James was at his deadliest form in the second half as he pumped in 24 big points. Dwyane Wade added 28 points while Chris Bosh knocked in 17 points plus 11 boards. Despite the series lead, James says it is still far from over and he strongly encourage his teammates to continue applying their solid defense as the series now shifts to Boston for games three and four, according to Yahoo! Sports.
“Feel good about it. Series is far—far, far, far—away from over. It’s really just beginning for us. That’s our staple. We know the only way for us to win games, especially in the playoffs, is to play defense. Everyone has each other’s back. If one guy gets beat, another steps up. They made a run, a heck of a run … but we just kept grinding, kept playing our principles, and we finally wore them down.
“This is a great team we are going against right now. We’re just trying to give ourselves a good chance to win, just try to keep on attacking them, playing as hard as we can defensively, just trying to wear them down throughout the game, but it’s a great team.”
