SCOTT BROOKS’ BIGGEST PROBLEM: RUSSELL WESTBROOK
If the Oklahoma City Thunder wants to have a
decent chance of salvaging game seven of their Western Conference second round
playoff series with the dangerous Memphis Grizzlies, OKC head coach Scott
Brooks must control his trigger-happy point guard Russell Westbrook. For the
nth time, Westbrook out-shot the Thunder’s top gun Kevin Durant and the bad
thing is he misses more than he make shots. In the playoffs, Westbrook is
averaging 21 field goal attempts (.411) as compared to Durant’s 19.6 attempts per
game (.451). The Thunder could have finished off the Grizzlies in game six but
Westbrook’s uncontrollable game contributed to their defeat, 95-83. Westbrook
must realized the earlier the better that he is no Chris Paul or Deron Williams yet and as the lead
quarterback of the team, he must learn how to set-up good plays for his teammates
especially Durant. If things won’t change in game seven, the Thunder can kiss
their title-bid goodbye. Then blame it all on Westbrook.

Eversince the FIBA games he thinks he can be better than Durant but in this case he has not proven anything yet
