RICKY RUBIO: MAKE WAY FOR THE SPANISH WHIZ KID

After waiting for two years, the Minnesota Timberwolves are ready to make some noise in the NBA next season. Spanish whiz kid Ricky Rubio is all set to make his much-awaited NBA debut after T-Wolves President David Kahn is reportedly buying out his contract with Regal Barcelona of the Spanish League. Rubio’s coming is one of the most anticipated debut of a rookie premier point guard since the Los Angeles Lakers drafted Earvin “Magic” Johnson in 1979. Co-Spanish National teammate Pau Gasol says Rubio is special and has all the tools to make it big in the NBA with the way he handle the back-court chores, according to The Globe and Mail.

“He's a special player and a very good point guard. Very unselfish. He's got great size, great length. He knows how to play the game very well. He's got a great feel for the game. He's just a guy that will get the team going and do what he needs to do.”
