LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS

Yes, Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves is going to play in this year’s NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles. After Charles Barkley went nuts on his TNT show Thursday night after the league announced that the 22 year-old rebounding machine was not among those selected by the coaches to the annual spectacle, NBA Commissioner David Stern named Love to replace the injured Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference squad. It will be great to see Love team-up with another rising young big man sensation in Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers for the West. Love is currently submitting norms of 21.3 points per game and a league-leading 15.3 rebounds per game in 49 outings so far with the T-Wolves. The 6-10 power forward says he is greatly honored by Stern’s selection, according to NBA.com.

“This is an incredible honor for me and I’m so proud to be able to represent the Timberwolves organization at one of the league’s premier events. I’m thankful to commissioner Stern for giving me his support, as well as to all the great fans in Minnesota who have been behind me and my teammates all season long.”
