Kevin Durant hopes the Oklahoma City Thunder give Jeff Green a contract extension. Durant believes Green truly deserves it. Green, together with Durant and Russell Westbrook, form the Thunder's own version of the big three. Durant says Green has done a great job and works so hard in their three years of being Thunder teammates, according to NBA Fanhouse. The Thunder must sign Green by November 1 or else the latter will become a restricted free agent next summer. The 6-9 Green, a power forward out of Georgetown University, has career averages of 14.0 ppg and 5.8 rpg in 240 games with the Thunder and the Seattle Supersonics. He was drafted fifth over-all in the 2007 draft by the Boston Celtics, who imediately traded his rights to the Sonics, the forerunner of the Thunder franchise.
“I hope they (OKC Thunder) do. I think he's worked so hard. He deserves it. He's going to do a great job of bringing it every day and not worrying about it. Hopefully, it gets done.”
