Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin’s astonishing play was the highlight of yesterday’s NBA games. He immediately made an impact right on the first two points of his pro career with an incredible alley-oop catch which was followed by a rim-rattling left-handed putback slam. Griffin, last year’s top pick over-all in the rookie draft, finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Clippers in a 98-88 season opener loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro says Griffin will just get better as the season progresses, according to Yahoo! Sports.
“Blake's going to keep coming at you. He's a physical kid. He's just going to get better as he gets more comfortable out there.”
