The first wave unanimously predicted the Boston Celtics will
win banner 18 while the second wave says it will be a “threepeat” for the Los Angeles Lakers. Whew! Things are starting to get really interesting, huh?
Teddy Benitez (An avid sports fan from Cavite City ):
“1. LA Lakers will go for the traditional
"threepeat" with the legendary zen master Phil Jackson leading the
pack LA's line-up for this year's campaign is the reminiscence of the 1997
Chicago Bulls with Kobe of course playing like his airness Michael Jordan, Ron
Artest not as good as a rebounding demon like Rodman but a ferocious defender
enough to please coach Phil & have the luxury of alternating his big men
even when the game is on the line...
next is widening its wingmen that could be easy for the
triangle to utilize it's just a matter of familiarizing it to the new kids on
the block.
“2. Kobe will win the MVP for
this year it's about time that the elite grand slam award for an individual
will be quadruplicated by Kobe
the All Star, Regular Season & the Finals MVP..need i say who were the
first three to get that? that's another trivia for you pare!
“3. I'm not much of who'll win this year's ROY but seeing
John Wall play I believe that he'll respond for the calling...”
Jun Abutin (An avid sports fan and a certified golf addict from Phoenix , Arizona ):
“1. Lakers .. They got the ingredients and athletic body and
height, speed and leadership to WIN big games when needed. Kobe is already at Michael Jordans level. And
can overcome any NBA team in the league. Phil Jackson will be sailing this
season when the team knows each other well in the court. Boston will slow down with Shaq. Miami will be overrated
with Lebron and Wade but will take time to get better. Lakers the team to BEAT.
But I'm still a Suns Fan no matter what happens.
“2. MVP award will
go to Kobe .
He's capable of leading the pack with so many offensive and defensive moves
that none in the league can't stop. He knows the game well enough to entertain
the crowd with his long jump shot even though his defender is in front of him. Kobe is at his Prime time
skill level nobody questions proven last week against the Golden State Warriors
98-91. GS was ahead with 1:20 left in the game and Kobe ignited consecutive pts. By shooting a
jumper for 2. Then getting fouled at the 3 pt. Line making 3 freethrows. And
finally assisting a three pt. Shot to the left corner to his teammate. Making
them overcome the lead by 1 pt. Nothing new to the Mamba King.
“3. The Rookie of the year should have gone to Blake
Griffin last year but he had an unfortunate injury that didn't happen for him
in the LA Clippers. He's another power forward to watch this season. So I
choose Griffin
and he still is my choice if he's still eligible.”
