A few days ago, Rain Or Shine star guard Sol Mercado was the talk of the town due to some offensive tweets on his account in reaction to PBA TV analyst and popular PhilStar sports columnist Quinito Henson’s remarks on a certain move made by James Yap, which the latter compared to that of the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) himself, Michael Jordan, during a recent B-Meg Derby Ace game. The said tweets were certainly uncalled for especially if it is done on a social network site. But for now, it is all’s well that ends well for the two gentlemen as Mercado sent his apology via text message to Henson, who graciously accepted it. Henson forwarded the said message to this writer, which says:
“Thanks Sir. sorry again for what i said. it will never happen again. btw did u give me the nickname sol train? i'm sorry if i hurt u. it was definitely an impulsive statement by me.”
