Jonny Flynn of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who was the sixth pick over-all in last year’s rookie draft, will flex his muscles while recovering from the hip surgery, in the NBA Developmental League (NBA D-League). The 6-0 guard out of Syracuse University was assigned by the T-Wolves to play for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Flynn averaged 13.5 ppg and 4.4 apg in 81 games for the Wolves last season. He is expected to rejoin the T-Wolves sometime next week, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
“The Wolves officially assigned point guard Jonny Flynn back to the D-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce on Wednesday. He will be play back-to-back games Friday and Saturday. If all goes well, he could make his Timberwolves return from July hip surgery when the team begins a five-game West Coast trip at Golden State on Tuesday.”
