ARE THE HAWKS FOR REAL?

They have accomplished their first mission and that is to exact revenge against the Orlando Magic in the first round but the Atlanta Hawks are not done yet as they go for a possible deep run in this year’s NBA playoffs. The Hawks defy the odds anew in game one of their second round series as they shocked the Eastern Conference top seed, the Chicago Bulls, 103-95. This is not what the pundits expected as the Bulls came into the series heavily-favored to easily dismantle the fifth-ranked Hawks. Atlanta swingman Josh Smith says they do not pay attention to what the critics say and they only know one thing, and that is to keep moving forward, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

“They can keep questioning our team while we keep moving forward. You can tell by the way we are playing we don't care what the critics say. At the end of the day, there's a lot of pride and talent in this locker room and we are not going to back down.”
