KIDD AIN’T RETIRING YET

Jason Kidd belongs to a different kind of specimen. He is not the ordinary kind of an athlete whose skills has constantly deteriorated upon reaching the age of 38 years old. Just look at where he is right now, the lead point guard of the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kidd knows this is his best chance to finally win a championship and what a way if ever, considering that he is still at the top of his game. Kidd says he still has a year left in his current contract and retirement is still the farthest thing in his mind, according to Dallas Basketball.

“Nope, I’m not retiring. I think that’s a misunderstanding on somebody’s part. But I’ve got a year left ($8.5 mil for 2011-12) on this contract. We’ll see what happens after that. But no, no retirement plans. They might be right. But the big thing is there might be a lot of jealously that I’m still playing at 38.”
