JASON KIDD: IT’S ALL ABOUT CHARACTER

Dallas Mavericks veteran point guard Jason Kidd has been through a lot of playoff games in his career but he is still playing with the enthusiasm of a newbie in this year’s edition of the NBA playoffs. His outstanding performance in the first round has carried over into the second round where the Mavericks surprised the two-time defending champions, the Los Angeles Lakers on the road, 96-94 in game one of the best-of-seven series. Kidd’s outstanding form means he is extremely happy with the current system being applied by coach Rick Carlisle. Kidd loves the new character of the team which he says was the key in stopping the Lakers down the stretch, according to CBS Sports.

“Character was a big factor in tonight's game. We lost our composure there at the end of the second quarter, and then came out and turned the ball over three straight times and found ourselves down. But everybody's mood was just to keep playing and try and cut into that lead, and see what happens.”
