CELTIC VETS SHOWS THE WAY

It was supposed to be a classic match-up that turned out to be a mismatched. The tried and tested veterans of the Boston Celtics made mincemeat of the young and upcoming Oklahoma City Thunder, 92-83, to win their sixth game out of seven so far in the young NBA season. The Celtics led by as much as 24 points and not even a big rally by the Thunder in the third canto, which cut down the deficit to just six points, is not enough to stop the rampaging Celtics. But still, Celtics head coach Doc Rivers is not happy with the big comeback of the Thunder, according to NBA.com. Rivers pointed out to their spectacular team play in the second quarter but suddenly resorted to individualistic play in the third period which paved the way for the Thunder rally.

“We played as well as a team can play in the first half, then we did the exact reverse in the third quarter. Veteran teams shouldn't do that but we got away with it tonight.”
