SMALL BALL, GK-STYLE

With Don Nelson out of the league for good, many thought the small ball concept has become a thing of the past. Not anymore. George Karl has followed the footsteps of Nellie as he implements his own version of playing small. So far, so good,  as the Denver Nuggets has won two of their last three games. The Nuggets tallest player in their last three outings is 6-9 Melvin Ely. Karl loves every minute of his experimentation thus far, according to The Denver Post.

“I do think we're cheating a little bit. We're cheating whatever the level of integrity of size is in an NBA game.”
