A TERRIFIC JOB

No wonder New Orleans Hornets General Manager Dell Demps, who played as an import for the 7-Up Uncolas in the PBA in 1992, is all smiles lately. His Hornets are playing very well and has remain unscathed after six games, thus joining the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers (7-0) as the only undefeated teams this early in the season. Demps gives credit to the coaching staff of the team led by rookie head coach Monty Williams for the remarkable run, according to NOLA.com.

“I would say a little bit. I think it's a credit to the guys and the coaching staff. They've really worked hard at it, and it's good to get some fruit from all the labors. Monty and the coaching staff have done a terrific job. The thing that's most impressive is being able to get the defensive system in and knowing we still have a little ways to go. That's the thing. Guys know we can do better. Whenever you're winning and still know there's room for improvement, that's a good sign.”
