LEE FLIES HIGH IN MSG RETURN

The surprising Golden State Warriors continue their gallant run in the new season as they gifted all-star forward David Lee a triumphant return at Madison Square Garden by whipping the New York Knicks, 122-117. it was the second straight road win for the Warriors in their East coast swing. Lee scored 28 points as the Warriors recorded their sixth win in eight outings, their best start since 1994. Lee, who spent his first five years in the NBA with the Knicks before being traded last summer to Oakland, says the Knicks game means a lot for him and he is happy that the Warriors gave him the win, according to Yahoo! Sports. Lee is currently averaging 12.3 ppg and 11.4 rpg for the Warriors this season.

“It meant a lot to me, and it was a great feeling. Like I said, it would have been all for nothing if we wouldn’t have won the game, because I would have come out of there very, very frustrated, especially after being up 19. So I’m happy we finished it out.”
