NO END IN SIGHT FOR SCOTT’S WOES

Things are getting real ugly in the Forest City. The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered their 18th straight defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics, 112-95. Included in the woeful streak was a 55-point blowout by the Los Angeles Lakers a couple of weeks ago. Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott is now sitting on pins and needles and unless he is able to do something quick to arrest the skid, the inevitable will happen. Celtics coach Doc Rivers says he knows how tough the situation is for Scott right now and how hard it is to convince one self of winning everytime the team enters the court, according to the Boston Herald.

“What’s tough for a coach is every game you have to convince yourself you’re going to win that game. Then emotionally when you lose, it’s difficult. You get down, but I don’t know if you’re discouraged. Maybe that’s why we’re nuts. You just do your job. You really work at it, you watch a ton of film. It’s horrible.”
