SCARY THOUGHT: WHAT IF THE CELTICS ARE HEALTHY?

Even with an incomplete roster, the Boston Celtics are still lording it over the Eastern Conference. The 2008 NBA champions are currently sporting a 31-9 win-loss card and had won four of their last five games. Injuries had reared its ugly head on the team since the start of this season. Starting center Kendrick Perkins has yet to see action, returnee guard Delonte West broke his wrist early in the season, free agent acquisition Jermaine O’Neal is in-and-out of the line-up and star forward Kevin Garnett has just returned to action after missing nine games due to a leg injury. Celtics Captain Paul Pierce wonders how great the team would be with a healthy line-up, according to The Boston Globe.

“We’re getting close. I can’t really pinpoint that time where it’s going to happen where we can say we’ve got Perk, we’ve got Delonte, we’ve got JO(Jermaine O'Neal), we’ve got these guys healthy that’ve been out for so long.

“I think in the back of our mind, we wonder what we’re going to look like when we’re full strength because we haven’t been able to see that yet and we’re still able to pull out a lot of games.”
