STOUDEMIRE IS NOW A KNICK

Now it can be told. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported that Amare Stoudemire has finally come to terms with the New York Knicks on a 5-year deal worth nearly $100 million. It will now be a reunion of sort between Stoudemire and his former Phoenix boss and current head coach of the Knicks Mike D’Antoni. Stoudemire’s agent Happy Walters sent a text message to Yahoo! Sports confirming the completion of the deal. The 6-10 Florida native hopes to lead the Gotham City outfit back into the playoffs next season. Stoudemire, 27, posted averages of 23.1 ppg, 8.9 rpg and 1.0 bpg in 82 games for the Phoenix Suns last season. He had spent all of his eight NBA seasons with the Desert City.

“All done.”
