For the first time in his basketball career, Jordan Farmar will no longer play in the west coast. The 6-2 UCLA product, who is one of the strong bench players in the LA Lakers back-to-back championship squad, had agreed to a three-year $12-million pact with the revitalized New Jersey Nets. Farmar’s entry to the Nets has made team president Rod Thorn very excited on his coming team-up with starting point guard Devin Harris in the backcourt. Farmar submitted averages of 7.2 ppg and 1.5 apg while appearing in all 82 games with the Lakers last season.
“He comes to the Nets with a championship pedigree which will prove to be invaluable to his teammates.”
