Larry Bird is not called a “legend” for nothing. Bird, who led the Boston Celtics to 3 NBA championships in the 1980’s, describes himself as unstoppable to any kind of defense during his heydays. And truly, he can shoot, rebound, pass, steal and just being there on the court with his mere presence will surely wreak havoc on the opposition.
“As far as playing, I didn’t care who guarded me- red, yellow, black. I just didn’t want a white guy guarding me, because it’s disrespect to my game. Push yourself again and again. Don’t give an inch until the final buzzer sounds.”
