These three guys first talked about it
during the Beijing Olympics. Then it became a long shot dream in April. And
now, that dream has become a reality. LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade
will bring-up their acts together to the Miami Heat starting next season. James made it official two hours earlier by choosing the Heat over other determined
suitors. With the entry of James, expect some restructuring of salaries for
Wade and Bosh. But there is nothing to worry, these three guys are ready to sacrifice
just to win championships and build a dynasty in South
Florida .
"I can't say it was always in my
plans, because I never thought it was possible. But the things that the Miami
Heat franchise have done, to free up cap space and be able to put themselves in
a position this summer to have all three of us, it was hard to turn down. Those
are two great players, two of the greatest players that we have in this game
today.
"Winning is a huge thing for me. They
can have mixed emotions, of course (as for Cleveland ),
Akron will always
be home for me.”

My good friend and one of the
most-respected NBA authorities in the country, Bert Ramirez, as usual, came up
with a very interesting text message to this writer to share his views on the James
D-DAY and the effect is has on the Eastern Conference.
“LeBron James has joined Dwyane Wade
and Chris Bosh in Miami
to form a super team they hope will bring them an NBA title this coming season
and for many years to come.
"Question is, can they work well together to consistently win? And who
will be the role players? Still, the Celtics’ job of getting back to the finals
just became harder, and the Lakers are feasting knowing they have a powder-puff
competition in the not-so-wild west.”
