This one of the most memorable NBA finals in history when the underdog Detroit Pistons shockingly whipped the heavily favored Los Angeles Lakers, 4-1, to capture the 2003-04 championship. This is also the series that made the Chauncey Billups-Rip Hamilton tandem the toast of the league. DEFENSE prove to be the calling card for the Motor City outfit which smothered the vaunted Lakers offense which starred Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone and Gary Payton. This is also coach Larry Brown's first and only NBA title.
