LATIN BEAT CONTINUES IN MIAMI

The City of Miami will continue to enjoy the music of “El Gran Combo” doing the Latin beat “Fiesta de Pilito.” According to the Sun Sentinel, Carlos Arroyo has confirmed the agreement to stay with the Miami Heat. The 31 year-old Fajardo native is a member of the Puerto Rican National team that will see action in the FIBA World Basketball Championships in Turkey next month. Arroyo said he is excited on his return to the Heat and expects to play an important supporting role in their quest for a championship finish next season. With Mario Chalmers expected to reclaim the Heat’s starting point guard position, Arroyo on the other hand, will play the chief backup role. The 6-2 former star of Florida International University submitted norms of 6.1 ppg and 3.2 apg in 22 mpg last season with the Heat.

"Looking forward to a championship. I’m excited. I've been training with my national team all summer.”
