Nicolas Batum of the Portland Trail Blazers is getting ready for next season and what a better way to prepare as being one of the vital cogs of Team France in the coming FIBA World Basketball Championships in Turkey. With Martell Webster and Travis Outlaw gone, it gave an assurance that Batum will start with the Blazers, according to Dime Magazine. The vacuum also means more playing time for the French National. And with that, Batum is very thankful for the trust that was given to him in Portland.

“I think it shows they have more trust in me. For the past two years they’ve put me on the court, but with Martell and Travis we all had to play. Now I think they trust me to put on the court for a long time.”
