With a lot of new and young players on its roster, the Toronto Raptors will have to play a controlled tempo to minimize turnovers in the early part of the upcoming season. Starting point guard Jose Calderon says being calm, sharing the ball and playing good defense are the essential factors the Raptors need at this time to win games, according to the Toronto Sun.

“I just think that everybody is trying to do things well too quickly when we start. We have to calm down. When we calm down, share the ball, help each other on defence, we do well.”
