The Utah Jazz are having a grand time in the pre-season games, toting an unblemished 7-0 win-loss card that includes two straight wins over the defending back-to-back NBA champions Los Angeles Lakers. However, the Jazz , like all other NBA teams, are entering a difficult phase with just a few days left before the regular season starts. They have a 17 hardworking players in their pre-season roster and head coach Jerry Sloan needs to trim it down to 15 on opening night. Sloan says he hates this time of the year because all the guys have worked their butts off, according to The Salt lake Tribune. Four players are said to be battling it out for the last two slots in the team namely Sundiata Gaines, Ryan Thompson, Demetris Nichols and Othyus Jeffers.

“It’s not a fun thing to have to do. These guys have all worked hard. To me, they all deserve to be here.”
