MOVING FORWARD

Chris Wilcox of the
Detroit Pistons.
NBA journeyman Chris Wilcox is fast becoming a major threat for veteran Ben Wallace at the starting center position for the Detroit Pistons. Wilcox says he expect to bounce back this season after a disappointing campaign last season due to a lower back injury, according to The Detroit News. Wilcox has caught the eyes of Pistons head coach John Kuester with his impressive performance during the training camp.

“I want to bring energy to this team, I want to play my role. I want to leave everything that happened last year. Some mornings I woke up and couldn't touch my toes. Now, I feel great and hopefully I can move forward. I'm happy with the way everything has gone so far. The only thing that's going to hold me back is me.”
