After taking the FIBA World Championships by storm, the talented duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook bring their acts together once again into the NBA and ready to rip the league apart next season. Showing a lot of promise after their scintillating performance for the Oklahoma City Thunder last season, Durant and Westbrook further sharpened their skills in the recently-concluded Turkey joust, where they led Team USA to a gold medal finish. Thunder General Manager Sam Presti was very proud of the dynamic duo’s showing that he believes their international exposure further enhanced their over-all games, respectively, according to Yahoo! Sports.
“We’re proud of both. Both guys will benefit from the experience and mental endurance required to help win an event of this level. This kind of international experience holds value in terms of the opportunity to compete under different and unique circumstances while still remaining committed to the core principle of team.”
