HEAT TO KICK OFF TRAINING CAMP AT MILITARY BASE

Miami Heat Fil-Am head coach Erik Spoelstra got what he wanted for a training camp. Spoelstra wants it done differently this time and everything is now set for the start of the Heat camp at Hurlburt Field and Eglin Air Force Base in Florida's Panhandle early next week. Spoelstra said they are opening their camp in a place where there will be no distractions, according to USAToday.com. Thus, the first to witness the new “Three Kings” of the Heat (LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh) in action will be the airmen of Florida’s Panhandle.

“This is a terrific opportunity for our team. The base will provide the ideal setting for us to focus on basketball and building camaraderie with limited distractions. It also presents us a unique and fantastic opportunity to spend time with the Airmen who defend our freedom. I anticipate our team and each of us individually will benefit tremendously from being around this environment.”
