Rick Carlisle, head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, loves playing under pressure. For sure,  Carlisle will feel the heat this season after the recent positive developments on the team such as the decision of marquee player Dirk Nowitzki to stay in Dallas and continue the quest for a championship finish for the Mavericks and the additions of top-flight center Tyson Chandler and French National Ian Mahinmi to an already formidable lineup headed by Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion and Caron Butler. Carlisle, now on his third season with Dallas, said that high expectations usually comes hand-in-hand with a strong team, according to The Dallas Morning News.

“Yeah, but that's good. You want to be in a situation of high expectations. That means your team is good. I love it and our team loves it. That's one of the reasons we're one of the best teams in the league in close games.”
