STALEMATE FINALLY ENDS

First round draftees Xavier Henry

Memphis Grizzlies.
Memphis Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley can now flash a smile in his face as the stalemate with his first-round draft picks last June has finally ended. Xavier Henry and Greivis Vasquez are now set to sign contracts with the Grizzlies, respectively, after a three-month holdout, according to CommercialAppeal.com. The 6-6 Henry was the 12th pick over-all by the Grizzlies out of Kansas University, while the 6-6 Venezuela native Vasquez was chosen with the 28th pick over-all out of University of Maryland.

“As far as I'm concerned, I'm happy the issue has been resolved. There's no question I'm doing what I should have probably done earlier.”
