HEATING UP

Things are starting to heat up. Hoopsworld’s 2010 free agency diary reported on the latest updates on NBA stars in the market. Alex Kennedy on Amare Stoudemire :

“Amare Stoudemire won't be returning to Phoenix and is leaning towards signing with the New York Knicks, a source close to the power forward tells HOOPSWORLD.

 The source says that the Suns "came in too low" with their offer and stressed that the Knicks are the new frontrunner to land Stoudemire's services. While no offer has been made, the two sides have begun negotiations.”

Jason Fleming on Paul Pierce:

“Paul Pierce has received a few inquiries but so far is really only talking to the Boston Celtics. He'll listen if someone calls, but it's feeling a lot like he is only being polite so far. He's Boston's lose - as he should be.”
