BEING A WINNER

For David Robinson, being a winner easily outweigh his personal accolades. And the man called “The Admiral” has lots of the latter in his portfolio. He won the league MVP as the anchor of the San Antonio Spurs in 1994-95 and was selected to NBA’s 50 greatest players in 1996 to name a few. But to him nothing beats the championships he had won with the Spurs in 1999 and 2003. Robinson was a 14-year NBA veteran and what made it remarkable was he spent it all with just one franchise, the Spurs.

"I think any player will tell you that individual accomplishments help your ego, but if you don't win, it makes for a very, very long season. It counts more that the team has played well."
