ANYBODY’S BALLGAME

Despite winning the opener of their respective series, both coaches of the Alaska Aces and San Miguel Beermen remains wary of their rivals going into game two of the best-of-seven PBA Fiesta Conference semis series against Talk N Text Phonepals and B-MEG Derby Aces Llamados. For sure, Tim Cone and Siot Tanquingcen are expecting close games and adjustments in the game plan of their opponents. As far as the two coaches are concerned, it’s still anybody’s ballgame.

Tim Cone:

“It’s just the first of a three-game set for us. We gotta continue to find the energy against them, knowing that they’re gonna come back.”

Siot Tanquingcen:

“We can’t feel complacent because it’s only one game. In a defensive series like this, we really expect to grind to it. B-Meg is like Ginebra, never say die and fight, fight, fight. We expect them to come back strong, get their bearings and make adjustments.”
