Don’t look now, but former PBA import Dell Demps is the leading candidate for the vacant General Manager positions of the New Orleans Hornets and Phoenix Suns, as reported by NOLA.com. Demps, who led the Seven-Up Uncolas to a runner-up finish in the 1992 PBA Reinforced Conference, is currently the Vice President of Basketball Operations of the San Antonio Spurs. The former Pacific University standout has really gone a long way since his PBA days.
“San Antonio Spurs vice president of basketball operations Dell Demps has emerged as the frontrunner for the vacant New Orleans Hornets general manager’s job, league sources confirmed Saturday night.
“Demps, a former Spurs guard, has worked in their front office for the past five seasons. He is also a candidate for the vacant Phoenix Suns general manager's job.”
