This kid plays with the mentality of a hired gun, an assassin. He does the killing of his rivals in a cool way. No jitters and no pressure at all. Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder has been that kind of a player since his prep days in Montrose Christian School. And now he has done his killing bigtime in the pros. The 6-9 former Texas Longhorns star won the NBA scoring title last season in only his third year in the league with an eye-popping 30.1 ppg while playing all 82 games for the Thunder. Durant was the 2nd pick over-all by the Seattle Supersonics in the 2007 NBA rookie draft.
“I’m just cold-blooded. I really don’t care. Whoever’s in front of me, I’m going to do my best to destroy them.”
